Labor of love

Toward the end of my pregnancy my midwife asked me what I needed during labor. It was a simple answer. Rodney. I needed Rodney. That's it. I needed him close. I needed his reassurance. His touch. His calming influence. His encouragement. His optimism.  

One of the reasons why I love birth is because of the journey we go on together. It's a beautiful process. I couldn't have done it without him.
